If you see one movie this year: Powerful, Raw, Sad...Inspiring
I'm not talking about Hurt Locker, Avatar or any Hollywood production. These are just four words that come to mind after watching "Space Between Breaths" on Sunday.
Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside,
you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing.
-Naomi Shihab Nye
This is the opening line in the film and it sets the stage for what you are about to experience. There was no acting in this movie, no script, no special effects, no academy awards. Just pure emotion, honesty... and hope. I'm sure others who were there could come up with four hundred words to describe it. And much appreciation to Debra Matson who served as the host with distinction and aplomb. But more on this experience from those who were there when we meet Thursday night. In the meantime we should all stand up and applaud the work of Dan Crewe and Cindy Bullens who were major contributors to this film from a production... and most personal level. Cindy even performed an intimate, but powerful concert as the final act of kindness for us all last night.
Folks there's a famous meditation quote goes something like this: "A cherished life cannot be measured by the number of breaths we take, but rather by the moments that take our breath away." Trust me; "Space Between Breaths" will make you cherish life. See you all Thursday night...

My friend Connie and I happened to be coming here for Tallahassee Safety Traffic week having both lost children and working to do something positive, We are so glad to have been able to see the film and hear Cindy Bullens. Bereaved parents definitely share a common bond. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Rosemary,
Wow!!! I received your generous box of bereavement packets and was just stunned. My deepest thanks for blessing our T.C.F. Chapter with the packets. They will be distributed to those who need them and will be a great help and comfort on their grief journey. It was my great honor to meet you in Austin before the viewing of your film. Thank you for your deeply moving and inspiring film. I am certain your sons are very proud of you and all you have accomplished in their honor and memory. May God richly bless you and your family.
Your friend,
Pam Crider
